Three weeks of the semester are assigned to complete this project. Late work will not be accepted or critiqued. See semester schedule for deadlines.
Week One
Research & Ideation: Research well-designed typographic websites. Thumbnail 5-10 layouts with two columns, header and footer. Your thumbnails should clearly show a consistent grid across different page types.
Idea Exploration: Choose the most successful layout and recreate using the Adobe Illustrator browser template provided. Export a PDF for on-screen presentation and one-on-one critique. Bring your thumbnails as evidence of the different layout options you explored.
Week Two
Prototype: Focus on the technical requirements of your website. Create a functional version of your website. Ensure all HTML and external CSS code is clean. Upload your website for on-screen presentation and group critique.
Week Three
Refinement & Presentation: Focus on the aesthetics of your website. Refine both the functionality and aesthetics of your website. Ensure all HTML and external CSS code is clean. Upload your website for on-screen presentation and final class critique.
