Attendance Policy

Arrive early. Once the speaker begins no one will be allowed to enter.

Stay until the end. Each lecture starts at 7:00pm and lasts until 8:30pm. If you must leave early for any reason, I ask that you not attend the lecture.

I only excuse lectures for illness or extreme situations beyond the student's control. Non-UVU lectures may substitute for AVC Lectures assuming a time conflict exists with AVC Lectures and attendance was encouraged by an AVC Program Coordinator.

Grading

We are not be using the response system for Fall 2011.

Your grade is purely based on attendance. Each lecture is worth 10 points. Missed lectures or leaving early will receive 0 points. I do not offer extra credit to make up missing points.

(i.e. Missing one lecture will drop your grade to an A-. Missing two lectures will drop your grade to a B-.)
