Fall 2011 Art and Visual Communications Lectures
AVC Lectures: Keith Carter (November 3)
The Keith Carter lecture will be held in JSB 140 (Joseph Smith Building Auditorium) on the BYU Provo Campus. Attendance will be taken as you enter the event. As a student registered you have already paid for this lecture. Your free ticket is available now from Staci Owens in the AVC Dept. Office. Only students or the public not registered for the course need to pay the $5 ticket price.This is one of two lectures this semester that you are required to attend in person.

The Christopher Liechty lecture tonight will be held on UVU as normal using the broadcast system, not at BYU.
AVC Lectures: Change of Location
The Jessica Hische lecture will be held in the Grande Ballroom. Attendance will be taken as you enter the event. As a student registered you have already paid for this lecture. Only students not registered for the course or the public need to pay the $10 ticket price. This is one of two lectures this semester that you are required to attend in person at the main UVU campus.

Attendance Policy
Arrive early. Once the speaker begins no one will be allowed to enter.
Stay until the end. Each lecture starts at 7:00pm and lasts until 8:30pm. If you must leave early for any reason, I ask that you not attend the lecture.
I only excuse lectures for illness or extreme situations beyond the student's control.
Grading
We are not be using the response system for Fall 2011.
Your grade is purely based on attendance. Each lecture is worth 10 points. Missed lectures or leaving early will receive 0 points. I do not offer extra credit to make up missing points.
(i.e. Missing one lecture will drop your grade to an A-. Missing two lectures will drop your grade to a B-.)
